Is Dell Inc. on the chopping block, again?
Michael Dell wants to know when to know if and when the Texas-based muscle behind the Inspiron and Alienware computer lines would be taken private – I bet Dell himself should get his hands on a leading maker of information technology products once more.
Should Dell take itself private once more, according to The New York Times’ website www.nytimes.com, Michael S. Dell – who also runs MSD Capital – would or would not re-acquire the whole company.
Dell’s 45-day go-shop period is due to run out later today. But don’t expect Mark Hurd to succeed Dell as Dell Inc.’s next CEO.
